Convergence:

come together from different directions so as eventually to meet

Glocalization:

the practice of conducting business according to both local and global considerations

Lingua franca: 

a language that is adopted as a common language between speakers whose native languages are different

Sustainability:

conserving an ecological balance by avoiding depletion of natural resources

Global footprints:

refers to ecological footprint: (Earth Sciences / Physical Geography) the amount of productive land appropriated on average by each person (in the world, a country, etc.) for food, water, transport, housing, waste management, and other purposes

Internationalization:

in popular discourse, globalization is often synonymous with internationalization, referring to the growing interconnectedness and interdependence of people throughout the world. Internationalization is the less theorized term

GNP:

the total value of goods produced and services provided by a country during one year, equal to the gross domestic product plus the net income from foreign investments

Cosmopolitanism:

familiar with and at ease in many different countries and cultures

Diaspora:

the dispersion or spread of any people from their original homeland

Ethnocentric: 

evaluating other cultures according to preconceptions originating in the standards and customs of one's own culture

Anachronism:

a thing belonging or appropriate to a period other than that in which it exists, especially a thing that is conspicuously old-fashioned

Assimilation:

absorb and integrate (people, ideas, or culture) into a wider society or culture

Accommodation:

the process of adapting or adjusting to someone or something

Transcendent learning:

when you accommodate new knowledge - change your "old" schemes and replace them with new knowledge. The new knowledge can be characterized as transcendent learning

Stereotype:

a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing

Prejudice:

preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience

Innovation:

creating a new method, idea, product, etc.

Entrepreneurial: 

characterized by the taking of financial risks in the hope of profit; enterprising

Collaboration:

the action of working with someone to produce something
